Anti-Wrinkle

Anti-wrinkle / Botulinum Toxin A is a prescription medicine made from a purified protein approved to treat wrinkles. This works by blocking the signals from nerve to muscle causing the muscles to relax and inhibit movement.

This treatment not only helps soften and in many cases eliminate static wrinkles but also helps with prevention by restricting dynamic movement. By restricting muscle movement static lines are unable to deepen further and new wrinkles are unable to be created.

Results are noticeable within 3-4 days and last approximately 3-4 months. Over time and with continued timely treatments the anti-wrinkle has an accumulative effect and may only be required a couple of times per year.

Dermal Filler

HA Dermal filler is a hyaluronic acid based injectable gel. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in our body. As we age there is a natural decrease in the production of hyaluronic acid and collagen which is part of the aging process and why loss of facial volume and wrinkles occur.

Along with the loss of hyaluronic acid as we age fat pads and bone density decrease. With dermal fillers we are able to mimic and therefore temporarily replace these lost structures. Dermal fillers provide volume and structural support to the face as well as fill in hollowed areas, lines and wrinkle. They also add hydration and plumpness to the lips.

There are many types of fillers all with a different purpose depending on the results we are trying to achieve. For areas such as the cheeks, chin and jawline where we are replacing lost volume we need to use a thick (high viscosity) filler that will help lift and support. For areas where we have lots of movement such as the lips or neck we need to use a fine flexible filler.

There are many areas that filler can be used such as the face, hands and neck.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can last anywhere from 6-24 months depending on the product used and area it is injected. Results are immediate but get better over the next 4-6 weeks as the filler settles and integrate into the body tissue. This is because HA is extremely hydrophilic which means that it absorbs water. So over the next few weeks results get better as the tissue plumps out.

MicroNeedling

Microneedling or collagen induction therapy can help reverse signs of aging by using the body’s own wound healing response. This is done by creating trauma to the skin using a medical grade device that creates tiny micro punctures. This controlled trauma/injury triggers the body’s wound healing response
which creates new elastin and collagen.

Microneedling is minimally invasive with very little if any down time and is effective on many areas such as the face, neck and décolletage.

3-4 treatments 4 weeks apart are usually required for best results however for severe scarring and pigmentation up to 6 treatments may be required.
